Canon has announced that it has developed a sensor of 120 megapixels.
This new CMOS APS-H is like the Canon 1D Mark IV and can handle a burst of 9.5 fps. The company currently has no plans to put into production and was probably made only to improve the skills of its engineering department through this sensor / challenge, since it does not provide a suitable optical park.
Also this sensor is able to record movies in 1080p and probably in the research and development department are working on new processors that will give us movies in 4k.
