
After Canon announced it achieved a 120-megapixel sensor today its research and development department to be seen again with the world’s largest CMOS sensor.
On the cover you see the new sensor and a normal full-frame. A square 20.2 x 20.5 cm, according to the engineers who developed it can record images with one-hundredth of light needed for normal professional SLR.
This sensor may find use in the photography of stars or animals in darker environments, but at the moment is not yet marketed.
